Spring I think?

Greetings, I’m sitting at my desk looking out my window to a yard full of snow???  But it is spring, and you can feel it in the air, hear the birds singing to each other and there are buds on the trees.   Well lets hope it warms up fast and we get to enjoy the beautiful greening soon!

Winter 2016

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I’m early for a winter post, but we saw our first snow flakes today, so I was inspired.  I also just put up my Christmas tree for the Concord museum,  inspired by Jerry Pinkney’s book the Grasshopper & the Ants..that puts me in the holiday way early..here is a photo

I have a few new items to report.  First, I’m selling cat toys at Verrill Farm and Firefly in West Concord.  My original plan was to stimulate more card sales by drawing a cat (my buddy Karen’s cat, Louie) with the toy, I thought it would be a nice pairing.  Well didn’t sell many cards, the cat toys are a hit!! HA!  I designed “Redro” with input from my cat Juju.  It’s big, red, has a long tail and is stuffed with organic catnip.  Cats love it!!

 New Cards

There are new Thanksgiving, Sympathy, Flower and soon a new Christmas card on the racks.  I also have many things on the drawing board with little time to finish but I will get to it!

This year my annual Christmas show is the same day as my folk music show, Dec 17th at the Java Room in Chelmsford.  Come anytime between 5-10, there will be lost of music seasonal and home grown!!  Tag, Trude,Kathleen, John and Jon will all be performing.  It’s always a fun night.

Thank You!

My very best wishes to you and your familes for this holiday season and into the new year.   And my sincere gratitude for all the support I receive throughout the year, I couldn’t do what I do without you!

All the best, Betsi

“It’s fall, it’s fall, the colors tell us all!” quote from Kathleen Larkin’s song

Happy Fall!!

My favorite season is here and I’m ready for chilly nights, cider, pumpkin beer, candy corn and Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a pleasant summer, despite the drought here in New England.  I’ve been very busy selling cards and gifts at farmer’s markets and drawing up a storm!!

There are new Wedding, Anniversary, Welcome Baby, Birthday, Catattitude, Bugs, Flowers and Halloween cards on my racks.  And on the drawing board I’ll be working on a butterfly, more birthday, Christmas of course and Thanksgiving.

Fairs and Markets

I have 3 fairs in October.  The first is at Curcurbit Farm in Acton, October 9th.  It’s very fun little farm with great produce and there will be lots local vendors and a scarecrow contest, so come prepared  !  Then October 15th  I’ll be at the Harvest Craft Fair at the First Parish Church in Sudbury on route 117.  The fair runs from 10-4, I never been to this show, but it’s been around for over 20 yrs.  Lastly I should be at the Conant School in Acton on October 23rd 10-4.  If you are interested in buying cards in bulk, you can get them at the fairs.  I’m also selling Owl bags, matted prints of the birds of prey and cat toys with a matching card as a unique gift for cat lovers.

I will be playing with my usual buddies Jon Swenson, John Ferullo at the Java Room in Chelmsford on Dec 17th.  With some special guests for sure!!

Christmas tree

I almost forgot, I’m making another tree for the Concord Museum’s Family Trees Exhibit, it’s inspired by the book the Grasshopper and the Ants, by Jerry Pinksey.  We had a lot of decorators this time, so I am expecting an extra wonderful show!!   The exhibit runs from Nov 22nd to New Years Day, Concord Massachusetts, Cambridge Turnpike.  Stop in, I guarantee you will leave with a nice dose of Christmas spirit!

And that’s it for now,  happy fall and as always I’m humbled by how you have all supported my business over the years, thank you very much, Betsi

Where does the time go?  Every year December seems to get shorter and shorter..So at long last my Christmas tree for the Concord museum is done.  I chose the book, The Cat and the Fiddle, by Jackie Morris because of her beautiful illustrations and her unique perspective.  The show is fantastic this year, I highly recommend it, fun for any age.  If you are interested in going it’s up until the 3rd of January, the museum is located on Cambridge Turnpike in Concord MA..enjoy..

here is a photo of my tree
